A good catch for this time of year last night.

1 Black Rustic
1 probable Northern Deep-brown dart
1 Common Marbled Carpet
3 Silver Y

  1. Great catch Marc, I caught one moth last night and I'm just over the road! I'm wondering whether last one is immigrant scarce bordered straw from Med region. Does/did it have a dark bordered underwing? I caught one in P. Bay a few years ago. Comments welcomed as it's an interesting record if it is one. Not to sure about some of the others, pics are a bit dark on my screen I'm afraid.

  2. Another possibility suggested by John (Woodsman NWBF) is a worn white speck, another immigrant. I think the pinion is probably Blair's shoulder-knot.
