Old Lady gave me a fright!

Good mixture last night including a whopper of an Old Lady above:

 I was thinking this is a Svensson's Copper Underwing due to lack of definition in lower bar?
  Not sure on the plume, 1 pic then flew off sharpish!:

  1. As an expert on plumes (not!! I was even looking at Swedish moth sites last night to try and sort mine out) I think yours is common plume Rob but difficult from pic.

  2. Not one I've ever seen but bottom micro is Ypsolopha scabrella.
    I had firs Black Arches of year last night, Autumn must be just around the corner!
