Good catch contains touch of Gold.

A good catch last night despite the early morning torrential rain.

2 Burnished Brass were crackers - what amazing golden colours.

 Wow! Burnished Brass, what a beauty!
 Pure Gold.
 Small Elephant Hawk moth - our second of the year in the traps.
 Clay - 1st garden record.
 Flame - first garden record.
 Marbled Beauty - Another 1st garden record.
 One of two Swallowtail Moths
Any ideas? Bit worn. Smaller than Mottled or Willow Beauty.

  1. Great selection of moths, Mark-those Burnished Brasses are stunning! Only thought on the bottom one is a small Mottled Beauty. I had quite a small one today, but this individual still has a dark cross-band on the hindwing, two parallel black lines on the wings (these lines join on Willow) and two spots.
