Bardsey Micros

There have been few moths of much note in the traps on the island recently, although there are plenty of day-flying micros around:

This one could be either Parornix finitimella or Deltaornix torquillella, but you can't do them without dissection.
Blastodacna hellerella- the first record for the island.
 Caloptilia stigmatella
This is another interesting one. The streak is far too big to be Crambus lathoniellus, and the general browny colour is also wrong. It looks to be Crambus pascuella, which has also never been recorded on the island
Argyresthia spinosella

  1. A nice little selection - the Crambid is indeed C. pascuella.
